Cavy-Proofing a Room

I love my guinea pig! I take him out all the time and play with him and such. I let him roam around my room, but I have to move him everytime he goes somewhere I don't want him to(under my dresser). I basically want to let him go exploring without having to be picked up and moved all the time. I blocked off under my dresser and bed so he can't crawl in there. I close my closet doors. but are there any other precautions I should take when I let him out?
