Wow, I keep my guinea pig in a shallow clear plastic container that maybe cost $10 from Walmart. I have had a total of seven guinea pigs over the past five or six years, and none of them have ever tried to get out. Well, that's not exactly true...I did have a particularly active one once and he escaped once or twice...but I mean, they just go run into the corners and hide. It's not like they can actually go anywhere.
I put newspaper down under the wood shavings, as it helps to absorb.
ALSO if you get a long-haired one you'll have to bathe it on occasion, especially if you neglect to cut its hair and it gets all matted... (at thirteen I didn't have a good concept of how to take care of animals)
I LOVE my guinea pig. I think they are the best pets ever, because they're basically content to just sit around. They are social, but if you don't want two, one is okay. We keep ours in the kitchen right now (where people congregate the most) and my dad in particular likes to talk to it."
Cause if it is, that person is really dumb (no offence) how could someone keep their precious piggy in a plastic container that is $10 from walmart?!!! And they are not content just to "sit" around! they need to be active!!! And keeping one isn't ushually OK, because they get lonely and depressed! Do people have any sence? oh my gosh, and 7 pigs in the last 5 or 6 years! I've had the same pig for 6 years!!!!
