Can I use acrylic blankets for bedding??

Hi,
I am new here.
I was thinking about using blankets for a bedding for my guinea pig.
I know that most people use fleece.
I have a whole bunch of acrylic blankets.
Can I use them for bedding, or does it have to be fleece?

My advice would be to do a water test on them. I haven't heard of anyone using acrylic blankets. But if you take one of the blankets and lay one layer on a flat surface with newspaper underneath and pour some water in a small spot and see if the water absorbs down into the newspaper. If the water doesn't absorb down into the newspaper then I wouldn't use it because it would keep the pee on top and make the piggies all wet. I use thicker fleece but I have also found that I can use 100% polyester material as well for short periods of a day or two as their top layer.
