Keeping Cool Can I leave an ice pack in their cage?

So where I live, it's crazy hot out and it's also crazy hot in my house and I was wondering if I could put an ice pack in their cage
 
Get a water bottle filled it with water freeze it and wrap it in fleece. Ice Packs have chemicals in them.
