Behavior Can Guinea Pigs sense things?

So my Piggie Willow is only 6 months old and she's a really cuddler. She loves to sit on your shoulder and hide in your hair and give you Piggy kisses on your cheeks.

She absolutely adores my Dad. Whenever he's around, she wants on his shoulder. I always say that he's Willow's boyfriend

However, whenever I try to get close to my mom with Willow, she tries to run even farther away, sometimes even close to running off my shoulder.
But my Mom also hates Willow. She calls her a rat and is scared of her. So is Willow sensing that fear and running away?

My mom has always hated my Pigs but they've never reacted like Willow

I know my dogs and my pigs know when I am really upset.

When my grandma died I was upset for weeks. I held my dogs and pigs constantly. They were all less jump, they were more sweet and gentle. And when I am happy they like to goof off and popcorn.

I think they do know how you feel.

I think they can sense it. My mom is scared my pigs will bite her (even though she really likes them) so when she holds Shelby, he gets really really quiet and just sits there very still (well then she thinks he doesn't like her lol). She hasn't tried holding Matisse yet but she pets him and he talks.

my first pig Poblo was my everything for this reason, when i was happy, he knew. when i was sad, he knew. when i was mad, he knew. For some reasion tho he always knew how to make me feel better.

I really do think they are aware! When I finally go to bed, they all enter their pigloos and are very quiet. When I am in a bad mood, they all silently hide LOL but when I come in the door they all show off and popcorn!
