can guinea pigs be housed in aviary?

Hi
Can anyone tell me if it would be okay to house our guinea pigs in the aviary? We have 4 guinea pigs and there cage is getting to small, so we thought about putting them in the aviary with budgies and a couple of quails at the bottom. also the kids will be able to sit in there and give them cuddles without me worrying about them losing them in the garden. But would they all get along okay?

A C&C cage is an efficient & cheap solution to creating enough room for guinea pigs. Have you considered making one?

Bird feces is VERY toxic to small animals. Its not safe to house them with birds. PLus avian diseases can be transmitted to small animals, so I wouldnt risk it. The cube cages are great and cheap to make. Best of luck

No, it's not a good idea to house them together, too many health problmes could evolve.

A good sized cage for 4 pigs is a (3x4, 4x4, 2x6, +++) Bigger is always better, so use as much space as you can! ^_^
