No idea on coat colour, other than shades of black with white. But she's an American short hair.

Thanks ! I figured she was but wasn’t sure. I just can’t seem to figure out what kind of coat she is.. the name of her colors ..

Please be very sure that you never breed her. Her color pattern indicates that she may carry the roan gene which can cause severe deformities to any of her pups. Lethal white pups are blind, have teeth deformities or are missing teeth, and have very immature digestive systems. If they aren't born dead or die soon after birth, they require lifelong, expensive care.

I was thinking along the same lines as Bpatters from the way the black and white areas are mottled. One way to tell is to part the hair where the colors are mixed. Then look for hairs that are solid white down to the root. Here is a good video on identifying roans.

So I did much research and I do believe kiki Pearl Carrie’s the risk gene .. I wasn’t planning on breeding her but how come she didn’t come out deformed ? Or with abnormalities ? Since she Carrie’s the gene ? And could this be why she’s a tad difficult ? Lol she’s a nipper and doesn’t seem to like anyone around her but me and even then she still runs from me and hates being cuddled. :/

It has nothing to do with her current behavior. That's just a matter of you spending time with her to socialize her.

She doesn't show the lethal characteristics because it requires two copies of the gene for the deformities to appear. If she is in fact a roan, she only has one copy of the gene.

Well I’ve had her for over a year .. she has gotten a tad better but she still is very rambunctious and snappy but I guess that’s just who she is. She does let me let her more but she truly hates lap and cuddle time. :/

I did watch the video and your correct. She most def has the risk gene. She had solid white hairs in many places all the way down to the root. Thanks for the video. I’m not planning on breeding her .. I picked her because she was pretty lol I had no idea about the roan gene

So many times the roan coat with the white hairs is so pretty and looks almost frosted. I think the grey piggie in the video is lovely.
