Not for me, but for an acquaintance of mine, "Bob". He got a trio of what he thought were girls but, long story short, one of them is male. The boy has been separated and the girls are on pregnancy watch. Hopefully we pulled them in time.

The girls have each other, but the boy is pretty lonely. Bob wanted to get him a companion, but he read somewhere that boys who've bred can't be housed with other males ever again. I can't find anything online about that, but maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place?

My acquaintance is trying to decide between neutering the boy or getting him a companion/putting him with his sons if, in fact, one or both of the girls is pregnant. I've spoken to him about this forum, so he asked if I could ask for him here.

I've never hear of that... Many fathers have been placed with their sons no problem

That's what I thought too, but Bob is convinced that males can't be together if they've ever been with a female. Of course, I kind of doubt his sources, since he didn't see anything wrong with getting pet store animals even with all the "extensive research" he did.

He can be put with other males. You'll have to do the same sort of personality matching and trying to find a compatible pig that you'd have had to do anyway. But putting one of his sons with him might be a good idea. Older boars make good nannies, but if this one is young, there won't be that much age difference between them, and you'll have two boars in adolescence at the same time.
