Hello,
I'll maybe make a new cage for my two piggies..
I've seen on the page How To Make that you drop the coroplast box in the grid.
But how I do for an upper level??

thanks in advance
madjawa

Sorry for my poor english

You do it exactly the same way, you measure the inner dimmensions of the size of your upper level. Say its 13 by 26 for an example. You would then add six to all sides so it would be 25 by 38. That is the size of coro you would cut out. You would then score six inches in from every side. You would put the box together as normal. Then you would cut a hole on one of the six inch sides so that the ramp will lead to an empty space to get in the cage.

OK thanks,
and I wanted to know too : for the bedding, you put newspaper in the coroplast. But when you clean the cage, the newspaper isn't wet?? Or have you another way for the bedding??

thanks in advance

you can either add some kind of shavings on top of the newspapers or many people like towels and fleece.

But it cant go trough the shavings and wet the newspaper?

Yes, their urine will seep through to the newspaper, but it's nothing to worry about.

Yes, its good to put newspaper down to soak excess urine. Also, it makes the whole cage cleaning process easier because you are able to roll the sheets.

yes but if the sheets are wet by the urine, they will "stick" to the coroplast, no??

Sometimes yes, but often not. If you change the bedding regularly then the newspaper won't have a chance to stick to the coroplast. Even if it does, its realy easy to 'peel' off

The newspaper shouldn't ever get theat wet. If it does you need to cheange the cage alot more often

I made two lofts in my cage using a single grid for each one. I used zip ties to strap it to the cage walls along two sides (grid in corner). I made a coroplast floor to sit on top of each grid. I made some ramps for the pigs but half the time they just leap up onto it. (My cage is only one grid high and the lofts are near the top).

ok thanks all
and another thing : I've find cubes on internet. it says "this versatile storage unit includes six cubes .....". It means there is only 6 grids??

there are four grids in each cube. It would be 24 grids I think.

MadJawa, where are you from? You could post where you got the cubes to help other people

I'm from France. But I havn't bought a C&C Cage yet. I'm getting informations about them befor buy :) (my father won't buy one)
