We are building our first cage and the table we're using is only big enough for a 1 x 4 grid size. Is that equivalent to a 2 x 3 or do guinea pigs need the extra width?

Well, a 1x4 cage is only 4 square feet (actually slightly larger since the grids are 14") - really not large enough for a piggy and definitely not big enough for more than one. A 2x3 is 6 square feet (roughly) and is good for one piggy. If 1x4 is the absolute largest you can make it, please consider adding an extra level... but ideally the cage should be much larger.

if you're getting two pigs (which is truly what you should be doing) the absolute minimum should be a 2x3 grid cage.

2x3 grids is 7.5sf, it's the minimum requirement you need for 1-2 piggies if you can't make larger cage.

Is a cage that is 91cm x 30cm x 30cm big enough for 2 guinea pigs. But i will be giving them exersize by floor time, out door time and also i will be putting them on a collar and leash. if the cage is not big enough am i giving them enough exersize and what it some other ideas for exersize?
that cage is waaaaaaay too small, and no amount of exercise/floor time will make it better. also, DO NOT ever use a leash/harness. they are bad for the guinea pigs back and will cause severe injury, sometimes even death.

No, that is way too small for 2 guinea pigs. The minimum size should be 76cm x 127cm. This gives them a square meter of space. Even with loads of floor time, they truly need the cage space as well. Leashes/collars don't mix well with guinea pigs, you are better off saving your money and investing in a larger cage.

You can overlap some on the table. If you are using a narrow table, try placing the cage so the middle of the cage is on the table, with perhaps half a grid on either side. Do you know what I mean? It may work out for you that way and be stable, try it first though.

You can also find rubbermaid or sterlite containers to build up a section behind your table to make it wide enough for a 2x3.

If you have extra grids (which you should), you can use that to build a custom stand for your cage. If you look in the photo section, you can see some stands that were made out of leftover grids. I have a 2x4 and a 2x3 sitting on stands made from grids.

Please go away, since WE are not raising are pigs for eating. You know that, we know that. We know nothing about the eating of guinea pigs so you will not recieve any help from here
