No. To small, wire like plastic floor, and the second level takes away from the already too small sq. footage. It's 24"L x 16"W, which needs to be at least 30" x 36".

I wouldn't put any of the animals they mentioned in it actually.

Absolutely not. It's far too small. Have you looked at the minimum cage requirements for 2 guinea pigs? It's 7.5 square feet which is 30''W x 36''L, that cage is only 24"L x 16"W. Boars require even more space because they're bigger and can be more tempermental toward eachother so 10.5sq feet is actually recommended for them which would be 30''W x 50''L. Make a C&C and save the money on a cage that isn't worth it. C&C's are cheap and easy to make and you can make like 3 times the size of that cage for the same price as it.

It cost me about $50.00 to build a 2x3 with a 1x2 loft. I spent $25 for grids and $25 for coroplast. And that doesn't count the $15 I spend on mattress pad and fleece. I used old towels.

Would 27x56 be good? A C&C.

That would be a 2x4 C&C and that would be a good start for two boars. My two boys are okay with it as long as they have a little extra room for hay.

Also, I don't get how C&C's are easier to clean? Can somebody please elaborate?

Cleaning

You don't have to take anything apart, like you would with the cage in the link. I can't think of anything else right now.

You might find it cheaper to make your own. Also if you have the grids you can style it to how you want obviously with the correct measurements depending on how many pigs you have. There are loads and loads of designs on here to help you think of a design. My girls and I are getting bored of our design and I am considering updating. Good luck your pigs will love C&C cages. Must be the best thing EVER I have done for my girls.

Another question, you don't have to use commercial bedding? I've seen some pictures of piggies in their C&C cages that don't have any bedding, just a rug or blanket underneath.

Definitely way too small. Also there is a grid as the flooring and GP's need better than that. I would say not to purchase it.

I am so glad you are going to get a C&C cage!

I would like to point out a few things.

If you bought the grids and coroplast to make the 2x4 yourself it will be cheaper for you. You will have extra grids for changing the cage if you ever decide to. You can also use those grids to make a pen for floor time. If you are planning to buy the online cage for a matter of convinece, keep in mind, you still have to assemble it.

It is indeed way cheaper to build it yourself and it's super easy. Check out this link for more info on how to build it for yourself.

GPC How to Guide

For what you pay for the items in the store you have a decent amount of left over grids, check out the Pigture Galleries for more ideas on what to do.
