Cage idea

I was wondering if you could make a very big cage by taking one of thoes white Ikia style bookcases (you know with the holes all up and down the sides with the shelves that you can position anywhere) what if the shelves were removed and you put coroplast on the bottom. Would this be an acceptable design for a cage?

Do you have a link to the bookcase? I think it would be a fine idea, just leave the bookcase unstained if you are able to.

Can it harm them if they chew on it?
