Hi,everyone i was wondering the best way to clean a cage i use soap and water but it takes sooo long is there a safe quicker way .Thanks

yeah but is vinegar okay because even rinsed it would still smell bad to the piggers would it not

IT gets covered up by the bedding, its fine

I use 50/50 mix of vinegar and water and my girls aren't bothered by the smell at all. For stubborn stains, I use straight vinegar. I clean the cage while they are out for floortime and by the time they go back to the cage, the vinegar smell is nearly gone or gone entirely.

If it's possible, you can lift the coroplast out of your cage and put it in the bathtub to clean it. Rinsing is a breeze.

When I do this, I put a little dish soap in the water, instead of vinegar, don't know if this is OK, though, anyway, I rinse it thoroughly.

Using soap and water is fine. Most use vinegar because it has disinfectant like qualities to it.

Yep I use 50:50 white vinegar and water in a spray bottle, too. It works great! The smell doesn't linger for long at all.

I also put the pigs out for floortime, then use a dustpan and handbroom to scoop up all the dirty bedding. Then I spritz the coroplast with the vinegar solution, wipe down with paper towels and put fresh bedding in. All pigloos and dishes are washed in the sink, dried, and put back. Then the piggies go back. It takes no longer than 25 minutes.

I have vinyl instead of coro but I don't think that will make much difference. I first take the bedding (in my case towels & fleece) out, vacuum-clean the 'left-overs' out of the cage, and then clean it with those disposable clothes you only use once. Then the clean bedding goes in :)

I use 1 part bleach to 10 parts water and spray the coroplast and wipe down. Then I spray with water and again wipe down and let the coroplast air for 10 minutes. Smell will go away.

I use straight vinegar and just wipe it dry, I don't even rinse. By the time my pigs go back in their cage, the vinegar smell is gone.

I use lime antibacterial wipes that I get from the supermarket-they seem to blitz pretty much any stain or mess, and it says that they kill all sorts of germs, contain no bleach, and protect for up to 12 hours-for 99p for 40 I think that's a pretty good (and inexpensive) way of doing things.

Thanks for the help!!:)
