Hello,
I am going to buy a c&c cage very soon, and I need to know whether or not to put a top on it. I have no small children or other pets, but I am afraid my piggy will climb it and escape. Does anyone have this problem and what do you think I should do as far as a top?

You don't need a top unless you have determined boars next to sows. They don't climb much, they are content in their piggie mansions.

Not many pigs do manage to climb out of the cage, so I don't think you need a roof

I agree, I do not think any pig can climb over a grid.

They cannot really climb, as their legs are rather small in proportion to their body size. I have not had any problems.

Sally tried to climb into her cage (she was outside when I was cleaning it). She just doesn't have the upper body strength - the first time she tried, she fell on her bum ... it was also the last time she tried climbing.
