I am looking for a cage that I can open well, and clean easily, for my ferrets. I have trouble with my one arm and need more of an opening for cleaning than store cages offer.

um...I'm not shure, I only know what cages are good for guinea pigs. Sorry.

It will probably not work only because you can't use regular sized grids (MEsh is used) and they are escape artists. THey could easily open it.

Yep you would have to use the mesh grids, because ferrets can get stuck in the 1.5" grid openings. The door on a C&C cage will be the hardest part because you need to find a way to keep it flush to the cage when closed. You might be able to try some velcro zip ties, I've seen them on ebay. And if you make the door too big, the cage will have problems with sturdiness and will wobble back and forth. It will require a lot of time and thought but you may be able to do it - good luck!

I have had ferrets.
I know they are total escape artists. C&C cages just
really would`nt work. but you could use the same basic concept using
hardware cloth a more secure lid, etc. I dunno.:)
