Cage C&C cages and support

i want to build a second level on my cage in an L shape on top and so if i did that how would i support the top level so it doesnt fall into the lower level?

If you use both connectors and zip ties, it should be strong enough. If it's still not, you can use a 2x2 lumber (they are 1.5 x 1.5 inches) get the lumberyard or hardware store to cut it to the length you need.

just ordered more parts for my c&c cage so i can build a 1x2 loft. and for prince to have his own C&C cage. so excited. cant wait for the parts to arrive. sometime early next week they will have a bigger cage

how much fleece would i have to buy for a 2x3 C&C cage, 1x2 loft, and a 2x4 C&C cage? i also want it to go up and over the 6in sides as well

Ok so need some opinions. Once i get the bunk bed for my kids, This will be how my room will look. Should i keep it this way and put the c&c cage at the end of my bed or should i move my room around?

AAHHHH My c&c cage is officially Finished. I got a 2x4 with a loft for my girls and a 2x3 on the top for prince. He loves it. He's pop-corning all over his new cage.


My son ended up in the pics because he was actually able to see prince who is his pet

Thanks. Well cleaning the main level will be a bit tricky. There aren't any grids at the bottom so when I have to clean it i will be lifting the entire thing up(with help and w/o the piggies in the cage). But in the next 2 weeks or so I plan on switching to fleece. What can I use under the fleece to soak up their urine?

But can I put 4 girls or 4 boys in a 2x5 C&C cage with a 2x2 loft or does it still need to be a 2x6 no matter what?

A loft doesnt count toward sq. footage. You will need a 2x6 or bigger, especially for 4 boys.

It turns out that I won't be able to get the wooden cages finished until Monday or Tuesday. Which stinks. I hope Princess doesn't have her babies before then
