The grids of C&C cage will not fit the table we are making it, could we cut the grids down to fit or would that be unsafe?

I do need an answer asap since we are going to start building the table on the 25th.

Yes, you can cut the grids down, but you then must painstakingly smooth or file the cut ends down. And, the cut grids often will not fit into the connectors. If you have a stable bottom on the cage, you may set it on a slightly smaller problem without difficulty......so long as the table isn't the smooth plastic type.

Why not make a wooden base the size of the cage and then place the whole setup on the table? You just don't want the cage to slide in any way to the point that it might fall or tip over.

I just realized you said "since we are going to start building the table"? Why can't you build to fit the cage size you want?

The table is going to be wood and we only have so much space for the cage and it just fits the 76 x 127 cm size and we will build a small wood wall to keep the grids from moving.

You can overlap the grids. Like this cage:

Since you're using a table with wood edges, it might be better not to use the round connectors.

How many pigs are you putting in there? The cage that size is pretty small, and would be too small for boars.

It's for two females.
