This afternoon has been eventful. Poncho, my new adopted Piggie, came out of qurintine today. My daughter and I enlarged the cage, put in a hay rack and added Poncho. Legelas, who's 2, and Peppi ,4mths, have lived together for several months. Today we introduced Poncho, 2 mths. So far so good. We followed the indroduction instructions on Cavy Spirit. They did the rumbblestrutting, smelling each other, rubbing of bottoms even a few nips, and a few yawns. No blood was drawn no real fighting. All is somewhat quiet now and even sharing some hay together. We are still having a few I'm the boss mainly between Peppi and Poncho. Legelas could care less. He is so laid back.
So is it ok to leave them all together now? What about at night?
It's almost veggie time. I want to see how they react to that.
I have read most of the sites to leave them be if there is no blood, just let them work it out. Right now we are all quiet.
