Hi there,

recently I bought some Fleece Flippers, which I love, but since I'm Canadian, the shipping cost close to the price of the flippers themselves. I paid 65ish for a set of flippers, plus $45ish for shipping. It sure adds up in a hurry.

so I was wondering if anyone knew somewhere else hopefully in Canada, that I could purchase fleece already sewn for my cages??
What options are there for us Canadians?

thanks for any help.

You could probably have someone sew the cases for you (or just order cases, maybe that would lower the shipping costs?) and cut your own coroplast and absorbent liners. The coroplast makes the box oversized, that is probably why the shipping is so high.

Hey Krystyna, I'm from Ontario too! I sew my own liners, Except I sew a layer of uhaul right between two layers of fleece. If you're just looking for someone to sew pillow case style fleece and cut the uhaul to fit with coroplast inside, I'd be more than willing to try and help you out for much cheaper than what you're paying. Send me a message if you're interested and let's see what we can work out?

Oh Meghan, you sound like a lifesaver :)
lets talk via pm so we don't crowd up the thread. I ordered some flippers BUT, I'd like to talk to you about having you sew some cases. Thank you for posting!! :)

What I ended up doing (I'm posting this for other Canadians who want to save on shipping) is using Bluewater shipping depot (for $5, a Canadian can have a pkg shipped to them which is a US address) and driving across the border to Port Huron to pick up the package. The shipping costs went from $50ish down to $15 !!!! Worth the gas of crossing the border.

As luck would have it, one of my neighbours is going to Port Huron next week to finish her Xmas shopping and will pick up my pkg for me as I don't have a passport.
ive been working with Jenny who makes the fleece flippers, and she was so very helpful in ensuring my pkg would arrive at bluewater by the date my friend will be there.
