building with cable ties

I am adding a 2x2 upper level to ym 2x3 cage and i was going to use calbe ties to build it, but would it fit over my cage now(i used connectors for it) because the connecter add a half inch space between each gird. If it does matter than i can just connect the bottom grid with cable ties also. (i hate the connectors!)

I put my 2x4 together with zipties. I don't like the connectors that come with the cubes.

i am jsut going to connect my whole cage with cable ties. The connectors are really annoying! lol

I was afraid that they would come off and then the cage would come apart and the cats and piggies would have a very bad party.

ya i am afraid the upperlevel will come apart and fall down and he will get hurt!

We used the connectors and added cable ties for extra stability. We also added pvc supports to prevent sagging.

We put our entire cage together with zip ties...check it out. There isnt any sagging and it is very sturdy.

Nice Turbopiggy- I just think the zip ties give is a cleaner sleek look.
