Thanks. Now I'm just trying to find things for him to play with in all that space. He has some of my kids toys, stuffed animals, towels, socks, blocks, paper towel rolls, cardboard boxes, phone book. What else can i give him?
It looks great! I'm sure he will love it. Maybe they are facing away from the camera but are there doors on the cage? It's good for rabbits to be free-range for at least part of the day.
That is awesome! Can you please explain how you made it and give the measurements? I want to give Rumple my bunny more living space, but also have to make sure he is safe from our 4 month old kitten when we are gone at work all day.
Its 2 feet wide, 4 feet long and 5 feet tall. I just bought seven 3/4" pvc pipe. They are 10 ft long each. I bought 3 rolls of cage wire with 1" squares, measured 24" x 15' each. I drilled holes in the end of each pvc pipe after cut to size. Zip tied all the pipes together and then lined the inside with cage wire. I used ten 3/4"x36" square wooden dowels cut to size to hold up the levels. 3 for each big piece and 2 for each short piece. I had a piece of ply wood laying around. I used pieces of carpet turned upside down to go on top of the wood and the bottom, cut longer than the base. So there is carpet sticking out about an inch on each side of the bottom. I didn't put a top on mine. But my cats haven't figured out that they can climb that cage yet. They haven't tried. They get put up when unsupervised any way.
Each level is 20". Easy to measure because each square on the cage is one inch. So you just count 20 squares
