I have 2 guinea pigs. Legalas, a silky and Peppi. I don't know what kind he is. He has short shiney hair and is a dark carmel and white. I lost Gimli, who was a trexal? several weeks ago. In the past I had Harold and Maude, a brother and sister but they too have died.

Yes, I guess in the past 2 years I have had five. When my children were small, I had my very first gp's. My sister had pigs too. We were very ignorant with our care, not that they were mistreated. I mean pine litter, having them in a big fish tank, feeding the wrong things. I went 20 years until 2 years agao without piggie's. I have a friend that has them and she got me back into them. I've always loved them. Just tonight ( I am at work) a co-worker said she has a young male pig. Her son is 9 and is not taking care of him. He is a yound pig and she's tired of cleaning the cage and such.
Do I want him? So, I might have #3. He is in a small cage. The whole petshop thing.
That is how I have so many small critters. Instead of going to the shelter I get a call,
do I want them? That is how I get gp, ferretts. My daughters rats come from AnyRAt
Rescue in Phoenix.

Porkie passed away today. We are very heart-broken. Infection had somehow taken over her body and she began to have seizures. We had no choice but to put her to sleep, to spare her pain.

She was the best pig we could have ever asked for. So sweet, very kind soul, playful and adorable. She loved to be held and was a very bold brave girl.

I am so sorry to hear about your little piggy and the pictures you posted just made my heart break. My Piglet, not too different in appearance from your Porkie, died just one month ago tomorrow and I started crying as soon as I read your post. Take Care as you go through this sad time.

Piglet is a sweet name. One of our others is named Piglet (She was a baby when we got her, so she seemed like a "piglet" in comparison to the others. Now, the name fits because she LOVES to eat.)

It's hard to lose a guinea pig. I always felt people that cried over their pets for days were silly, but now I know it'll be quite some time before i get over the heartbreak.

I am so sad for you and your little Porkie. Their are tears in my eyes. Porky reminds me of my little Popcorn girl, Poppy. Take care of yourself and your other piggies, as I know you will. I'm sure they miss her too.
