Does anyone have names of breeders in the Vancouver, BC area?

No, we never make recommendations for breeders. We're a strongly pro-rescue, anti-breeding, anti-purchase website. But we'll be very happy to help you find a pig from a shelter, or a rescue, or someone in your area.

If you go to Pet adoption: Want a dog or cat? Adopt a pet on Petfinder, and put in "small and furry" for the animal and "guinea pig" for the breed, you'll get more than a dozen hits in British Columbia.

Check out BCSPCA's website. It's searchable for most locations around the province of BC. We got our two boyz from the SPCA in Kelowna, and they have a great adoption program there. Hope this helps!

I posted this tread some time ago when I first found this site. I adopted a lovely 2 year old female guinea pig from the SPCA in Abbotsford. The shelter was kind enough to drive Molly to shelter closer to my home. It is truly a rewarding experience adopting an animal in need. I am now working with a local guinea pig rescue group to find a friend for Molly.
