I have this guinea pig, Buddy, who I have had for a couple of years but what still puzzles me is his breed. I don't know if he is American, Satin, etc. His pics are blow. Any ideas?<br>

He looks like an American shorthair to me, he's adorable! such a sweet little face :)

I would also say American Shorthair. Although I am no expert on breeds. :)

I thought he is an American. Thanks Eimear I am glad you think so :)

Breed: American

Variety: Golden agouti, cream, and white broken. (or just a broken)

He is super cute! I love his little cream face :)

Thanks! That is also one of my favortie parts about him! It makes him look adorable when he eats :)

Very cute pig! love the nose! :D In addition to my other post. Broken just means it's not a specific variety but a mix of a few (patches.) The white is obviously the white and the cream... the cream. The golden agouti means its chocolate with golden tipping. (the other brown looking patch.) There might be a redish, gold patch on the belly? That would be part of the golden agouti.

I actually think his belly is white. Let me check... His belly is actually cream but a bit lighter than his face.

His breed must be Adorable. Pfff, American.
Joking aside, he is beautiful.

Pssst. Not to be nit-picky, but officially it's called 'broken color'.
I used to explain it like this when people said their guinea pig was a 'broken' : "Your guinea pig isn't broken! It is a broken color, though."
:melodrama Haha, sorry to be a bit specific. I have nothing else to add to this thread!
