My beloved pig, whom I practically hand raised from birth, died tonight. She was only 2-2.5 years old:weepy:. She had a yeast infection, and so we took her to the vet who "supposedly" knew what she was doing when it came to guinea pigs. She prescribed buprenex and metacam, along with yogurt. We brought her home around 8.00, and she died at 9:05 tonight.
I now no longer trust ANY of my area vets who "specialize" or "know" what they're doing with guinea pigs.
if they knew she was not going to make it, they should have a) told us up front and b) not told us to pay 155 for everything...
