I have 2 pigs and one of my pigs have noticeably (sorry for the spelling if thats not how you spell it) larger teeth then the other. She currently has 4 chew tows in her cage (2 wood blocks, a log cabin, and a weird hay block thing i found at the pet store) but she never uses them. Is she smart enough to use them if her teeth are to big? Will hay alone wear down her teeth? Is there not enough chew toys? Is she ok?

Sorry for all the questions,
Kristin

Like people GPs will have different features, teeth, build, etc... It's probably fine and she will gnaw if she feels the urge.

As long as you don't notice her drooling, losing weight, or having difficulty eating, her tooth size is probably right for her.

If in doubt a vet check is never a bad thing.

YAY, that calms my worrys. She never drools, shes as fat as a cow, and she still loves eating.

Then she is probably fine. It sounds like you are doing very well by her. Just make sure they have unlimited hay. Her teeth may grow faster then normal and she will need the hay to keep those molars in check.

I've used the wooden blocks and alfalfa hay cubes that you mentioned. My pigs will nibble on the hay cubes for about a minute, then ignore it completely.
They do chew on the wooden hidey house that I have. Also, if I have cardboard houses they love chewing on that also.
Like Voodoo said, make sure they have plenty of hay to chew on. That will help grind down their molars more than any type of wooden block.
