I thought my 2 1/2 year old piggie was a big boy at 2 pounds 8 ounces BUT my 5 mos. old pig is the same size when side by side weighing in at 2.6 pounds and he is STILLl growing with big feet to boot! How large has your biggest piggie weighed?

The last time my big pig was weighed he was 2.2 pounds but he's gaining ALOT of weight, he's probably close to 3 pounds now.

One of my boars was 3lb 5oz at one point, but he looked much better at 3lb 2oz. The difference was a bigger cage and a timothy based pellet and he toned up that way!

My oldest did lose weight when I went to a larger 2x5 c and c cage.. I think small fry is going to just be one big pig lol. His feet are huge compared to his older brothers. His head too.

Thats the same with mine who weighs over 3lb - his feet are considerably larger than my other pigs

My largest pig at the moment is 3lb 4oz and she is still growing. My other pig is following in her foot steps. To be honest though, I don't think she is big just fat!

Wow... My biggest is only 2.5 lbs..
My vet said that 2.5 was LARGE for a pig... is this true? He said 1-2 lbs was good for a pigs weight. I thought it was 2-3 lbs?!

I thought it was 2-3 pounds too. My only adult pig is just over 2.5 He's not very long, but pretty round.

There's such great variation in body sizes (length and build) that you can't say a certain weight is healthy - it depends on the pig as to what's a good weight for them, just the same as with people.

You can tell from looking at them if they're in good shape - they should be sturdily built, feel nice and solid (not bony or blubbery) and move around easily and quickly.
