Beta has just woken up after the surgery. It all went well and the vets are happy with the results.

Good! I'm so glad that he's doing well. Just keep it up little guy, you've come this far!

I didn't get a chance to ask about the 3 legged bunnies yesterday, I have a killer cold that kept me home. =(

No problem, and I hope you're better.

Vet said he is already moving around today. I am so happy and I feel he's going to be alright now.

Beta came home today. I am pretty happy with how he's doing. He has lots of meds to take, but he's alert and even a bit playful.
Hopefully he will go back to being the lovely bunny he is.

Is he able to walk with just the 3 legs? What leg did he have removed?

I'm so glad to hear he's doing well! :D For some crazy reason, I want a 3 legged animal. I don't know why.

Yes, many animals have just 3 legs. he removed the back right leg.

I also have a thing for 3 legged animals, or one eyed, or crazy stuff like that. They seem to call me. They are so fragile and need so much love!

I dont have experience with 3 legged rabbits, but when I was younger I had a cat and a dog who ended up having to have a leg amputated, and they both lived long, happy lives. I just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in there and say, yup, if you have the money, go for it! And good luck, let us know how it goes please!! :eek:ptimist:
