I know regular endive is fine but can pigs eat belgian endive as well? Its not listed on my chart. If so, how often?

Yes, they can have it. I treat it the same as normal endive, since this is just another variety.

and how much?

Thanks! Very quick reply! I never knew what endive was until this week..the pigs like it though!

My pigs LOVE belgian endive. I usually give them each a leaf or half leaf once in a while.

Sob! My pigs love Belgian endive, and the groceries around here only get it about once every other blue moon. I wish I could find it on a regular basis.

I can only find belgian endive at the health food markets, so it's a nice treat for my pig whenever I buy it. @bpatters I know this sounds like an odd question, but do you have any international markets around you? I know this Israeli grocer by my mom's house carries it regularly. I know international markets seem like an odd place to shop for endive, but you never know, they might have it!

No, the nearest place I can find Belgian endive is about 28 miles away. Every time I have a reason to go in that direction, I go by that grocery and buy the pigs several treats.
