Storage Bale of hay

I am picking up a bail of horse hay this afternoon and was wondering how you store yours. I do not have a garage and would rather not keep the whole thing in the house.

I keep mine in an industrial size bag in the basement. You have to leave it open to the air though so it can breathe and not get any moisture in it. Our basement is finished and not wet at all.

I keep mine in the garage but if you don't have one, then can you get like a container for the porch or balcony?

You can't really store it outside safely.

Here's what I do on my back porch... it's a rubbermaid container with holes drilled out all around it (made with a paddle-type drill bit by my parents as a surprise for me), and it sits up on a piece of plastic shelving so it's up off the ground. Not sure it would fit a whole bale...
