Hey everyone!
Most of you know I lost Pedro a few weeks ago. Well, I thought I would be okay without a piggie for a bit, but it turns out I need cavies in my life.
The small animal rescue in my city currently does not have any pigs. I put an ad out on a local website and I got only one reply. Thankfully it was all I needed!!
Here's baby Penelope!!! She's under a year old, and the cutest aby I've ever seen. She is such a sweetheart and doing so well right now. She wasn't given hay or a pigloo and bedded on newsprint. The lady I got her from was so nice, though. She just wasn't educated. She's lovin' the hay, and is in a 2x3 C&C. Not as big as Pedro's cage was (he was in a 2x5) but since he passed I made a hugh memorial in my room for him and I only had space for a 2x3. It'll do for now because we're moving in the next few months so I'll be able to expand then. I am also on the look out for a friend for her.
The previous owner was asking $50 for her rehoming fee and supplies, but after talking to me and seeing how much I would love her, I got her for free. She looks to be in very good health and is starting to eat veggies. We're starting her off slowly because we don't want to shock her system. The only thing that worried me is she hasn't pooped yet Hopefully with a better diet that will change. She was fed Great Value pellets and had corn and seed treats I will change that, though! She's already sampled her new pellets and having a snooze in her cage!
I'll stop blabbing and get to the pics!!
