Babies!!!

We now have 4 pigs instead of 2!! That will teach us for going away all night. Come home in the morning and the pigs have multiplied. We thought Polly was getting fat but, as she has (supposedly) never come into contact with a male we just thought we were overfeeding her. We went away overnight, got home this afternoon and there were two little Polly's!!! They are nearly exactly like her, same lenght hair and very similar coloring. One of them has a completely black face. Not sure what sex they are yet but I've got a sneaky suspicion they might both be boys. *sigh* But we've got them for awhile and I know some people who would gladly take them if they are males so that works out. I just can't believe we didn't twig to the fact that she was pregnant! How dumb do I feel?!!

So now we have two gorgeous new arrivals and a very content looking mum. Flossy looks a bit bemused and not sure what all the fuss is about but she's being gentle and I think she'll make a great 'aunty'.

I know what that's like! We looked after a friend's cavy and one morning she just gave birth. We liked them so much, we decided to adopt them.

oh my goodness. my cavy count went from 3 to 8 just yesterday. I understand the pain of your situation. In addition, there might be more babies on the way!

Look at it this way...floppy had a good time with Dolly, most likey the other one is in the family way too! lol Hope for the best, but expect the worst! lol
