General As silly as this sounds..

Hi. I have 2 piggies living in a C&C cage in my room.
I have a small problem that is actually turning into a bigger problem. It might sound silly and trivial but...
I cant keep my room clean!
Not with the piggies in there.
There is hay and bedding (when i used bedding, i use fleece now) and little poops all over the carpet. Some of the little bedding/hay/poops are really dug down into the carpet, that i cant get it out.
No matter how much i vaccum, it is never fully clean -_-
any advice?!
And no, i cant move my pigs into another room.

How high are your coroplast sides?

You may just need to make them taller so your spunky little piggies can't kick out their food and poops onto your floor...

I have 4 inch coroplast sides, and I almost never see anything they've kicked out.

I have 6 inch sides and it works great. Some times food gets out and I don't know how, but not very often.

It sounds like you need a more powerful vacuum.

Better vacuum will help, trust me on that one! I've been there done that!

Switching to fleece was a good move, bedding tends to get everywhere in my house too. More my kids fault than the guinea pigs though.

Next: Ground in poos. You are probably going to need to get some carpet cleaner. I suggest "see spot go" found in Walmart and Petsmart or "Kids n' Pets" found in both places as well as Target. If all else fails, rent or hire a carpet cleaner.

Once you get things cleaned up, since you are using fleece, it should stay pretty clean. I would use some fleece or a blanket you don't like during floor time to help keep the carpet looking nice. Like posted above, make sure your sides are tall enough.
