One of my guinea pigs has lost a whole bunch of fur on her stomach and has huge bald spots on her sides. She also has humorongus nipples. She's about 2.. I think. My dad's wondering on the expiry date of them. She's only two and she's younger than the other one so I don't know why she's expiring.

She might have mites (the hair thing) so I would check her out with the vet asap and move her away from your other pig.

Probably hormonal due to where the hair loss is rather than mites. You need to take her to a vet. She may very well have ovarian cysts or other hormonal problems. She would need to be spayed by a competent vet.

She doesn't need to be separated. Go to https://www.guinealynx.info/hairloss.html#postpartum and read up.

I agree that this sounds like it could be hormonal. I would not move her away fromher friend as even if it is something contagious, the friend has already been exposed and separating them will simply increase their stress. Please get her to a good vet as soon as you can.

Souns like cysts.

I agree with Amy, slap and rabbits on the cysts. Please take your sow to a cavy savvy vet as soon as possible.

I also have something to say about this. Pigs don't come with expiration dates. They are not a carton of milk that goes bad. When they are born, we don't know how long they will live. They are living, breathing, caring creatures. The average lifespan of a pig is 5-7 years although some pigs live well beyond that. I have heard of some pigs reaching 10 years old and there was one pig who I believe reached 14 years. I think how long they live is in part determined by the lives they lead. If they are fed proper pellets, hay, veggies, water and given large cages, I believe they will live longer lives. If they are forced to eat pellet mix, given little to no hay, wrong veggies, very little veggies or no veggies, and forced to live in small cramped cages, I think their lifespans will be significantly shorter.

Hmm I learned something new. I don't have any girl pigs so I haven't really reasearched that much on girl pigs.
