I adopted Hansel, and he is a by the book Lilac. It took me a while researching his color and I couldnt find many pics of lilacs. Just wondering!

Yes, lilacs are a rare color.

Yeah, they're pretty rare. I have one though! Although he is lilac/white/ginger

Hansel is SO cute...I saw him at the shelter and wasent sure about having a lil guy with red eyes...but something made me know he was the one to take and I am so glad I did. He has a personality 100 times his size he makes me laugh every day lol!

I have a lilac pig too! We should start a club or something. (just kidding) Do you have any pictures of your pig?

I have never see one if some one has a picture of one can you post it so I may see what it looks like?

I did a Google search and came up with this photo.

They are born rather dark, and lighten with age. The colour is described as "medium dove grey".

That is a cute pic, Hansel is a touch lighter in color and he was supposedly 16-18 months old when I adopted him...I will have to post a pic of him soon.

OH! Is that lilac? I thought this was lilac:

Here is a picture of Sassy. Her color is kind of wierd because of the light. There are more pictures of her in my gallery if you want to see more. The baby on the right in my avatar turned out lilac. He looks grey in the picture, but it turned as he got older. In the picture he was only a few hours old.

Yes, that is also lilac - just on the other side of the spectrum (on the lighter side).

The photo I supplied was of young lilacs at a show (I suspect 4-5mths) and are darker, as I mentioned they lighten with age. (I guess I should have given link to actual page, but didnt want it to be mixed up with other photos).

Lilacs on the "show scene" vary dramatically in their shade, different countries will often prefer a different shade - even though they follow the same "standard".
