I just read that you shouldn't feed guinea pigs too many carrots. "Maybe 1 baby carrot every other day"...???

I feed my pigs about 4 baby carrots every day! Why should carrots be limited? Are they not healthy?

Carrots contain vitamin A and some people worry that too many carrots means too much vitamin C. Since, they are baby carrots they are ok, but maybe you could change to three or even two a day?

Sorry. Just read my post. It should read:

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Myanswer above still applies, though, so I think we're safe. =)

Everything in moderation. I don't feed carrots every day, but my pigs love 'em. They're fine occasionally, or a baby carrot per piggie every day.
