ARe All Baby Pigs Hyper?

I wanted a young'n when I got Templeton, but the young'ns were sooo wild! they were doing somersalts in my arms! I picked up older ones, and they were so tame..

just curious.

yeh most of them are very noisy and wrigley!! they love to explore and check out everything, as they start to get older they calm down a bit....well thats what i have noticed with mine but they may not all be the same!

Most babies are very very active.They will popcorn all the time,explore their new surroundings with excitment,run like crazy and just be, well like you said so much more hyper than adult piggies.

I just rescued my nine week old baby piggie on saturday, and he's still terrified of his new surroundings, because he had been moved to two different cages in one day, and also lost his daddy, who was his previous cage mate. I hope he gets a little happier when I introduce him to Cocoa and his bigger C&C cage!*Crosses fingers*

DocDolittle - he will get happier soon, especially when he starts recognising you and your voice! how come he lost his daddy? what happened?

Well, I rescued him and he was a cage mate with his dad. But I couldn't take both of the pigs, and they weren't bonded, they were pretty much just tolerating each other, but I took Pippin. I feel really bad, but I figured rescuing one is better than just leaving them both. Plus, the daddy already has a home with three other sows(he's neutered)
