I've got some little branches to prune from one of my crab apple trees in my yard and was thinking I'd prune a branch a day until I'm done. I'd read here somewhere that apple leave were ok to feed. Are they a food that is best to feed occassionally or would it be a good daily food?

I am not sure about the leaves, but make sure that the tree was not sprayed with ANYTHING, not even oil.

Maybe more like an every 2-3 day type of food. I can't find much info on the nutrients in the leaves. They can have some crabapple too and the branch would be fine for them to gnaw on as well.

You seem very concerned about this. The tree is in the OP yard, so I'm sure she hasn't treated it. Not everyone does!

To answer your question, we only give them occassionally, about 2-3 a week.
