My son is going through that crazy faze I suspect, and he's just quietly driving me nuts!! This morning he informed me all his T-shirts need collars sewn on or if he wear's them he will look like a STRIPPER.......?????........he's my son and I have no idea where his logic comes from!!!
So he refused to wear a tshirt under his jumper and it's cold out..

MOODY, TEMPREMENTAL LITTLE SWEETHEART!
Anyone found boy's worse than girl's at this age? (12) I don't remember going through this with my mum...

Just tell him to wear it or he gets no new clothes. Tell him what he dosn't wear, you will donate. And don't be afraid to do so. That's what I would do. LOL.

Best of Luck.

Yeah but then it costs me more $$$$$ to replace it all..

Enjoy them when they are 12 because once they hit 17 forget it. Driving a car, dating, staying out at night. Its a nightmare. At least at 12 you know where they are and what they are doing. Nothing is worse than waiting up for your child who is out driving a car at night and who should have been home already.

My son is also 12. I have realized in the last year that only certain tshirts are worthy of being worn. He has a drawer full of them and all I hear is Mom my clothes need washed.
It seems he only likes certain ones. Same thing with his jeans. I hope its a short faze.
I'd teach him how to do laundry but afraid he will do it daily and where the same clothes over and over

My 14 year old son won't make it to 15 in July if he doesn't buckle down with his grades. He's grounded, yet again for a bad interim report. There's only about 8 weeks of school left and he is still screwing around. BOYS - girl's are so much easier!

Guineagurl, show him how to sew collars, and then tell him to do it himself if he wants it done.

I doubt my mum would agree there! :p

Teach him to sew? I can barely do it myself~hehe
I think he realised how silly he was when he got home from school because I asked him as a joke how stripping class went and he got really embarrassed so I let it go.
We stir each other up alot, but lately he can't take it,
(dosen't stop him dishing it out though)
Does puberty make boys hormonal? I'm at a loss,. I've only got to look at him when he's in a mood and he throw's a fit at me and tells me I don't care about him..GGrrrrrrrr

Yes, boys get edgy, too.

The answer is DEFINATELY!!!! I have a very hormonal 14 year old son going through puberty that doesn't listen, isn't doing his english work and turning it in (school called today), argues and fights with me, wants to do only what he wants to do, treats me like dirt, etc. etc. etc. yada yada yada...

I want to put him on ebay and sell him.

Just tell him he's adopted, might buy you a few minute's of silence!

Sounds exactly like my son!!!! Maybe we can get a two-for-one deal on e-bay!

how much are you asking for him? LOL just kidding :)

With mine, I think I'd have to pay you!

I think you should do it. If peer pressure doesn't get him to stop wearing the same clothes over and over again, nothing will.

I have a 12 year old sister back home, and she's going through this issue that anything she doesn't like, doesn't "fit right". Doesn't matter if the jeans/shirt fit yesterday when she wore it.
