Anyone ever use Mirrors?

Curious, has anyone placed a mirror close to the cage and had positive results?

My guinea pigs like to see themselves in the bathroom mirror, but I've never tried getting them a mirror and putting it near their cage.

Wouldn't it be cute to see your piggy playing with its reflection! I've sometimes held them infront of one but they ignore it

Phoebe sometimes checks herself out in the mirror in my bathroom during floortime. But I've never put a mirror in her cage.

To my pigs, if it doesn't smell like a guinea pig or mom, ignore it! The contrast with my parakeet's can't-tear-me-away reaction to a mirror is astounding!

Cocoa once 'investigated' a mirror during floor time.There are now pig teeth marks in our hanging mirror.

My girls have a small mirror in thier cage it is a mirror designed to go in a bird cage and they often sit there and chat away quite happily to themselves.

I put a little mirror at top of my cage and they look at it all day and they look like they are posing. It is sooo cute.

since my parents wont let me get another guinea pig right away maby a mirror will keep her entertained?

It may entertain her. It won't replace another piggy though.

I know but my parent say i have to use my current cage fo a while and it is only big enough for one piggie Id rather one pretty happy piggy than two misrable ones without room to run.

For some reason my little guy doesnt really care much for his mirror.
