Are there any other animals that can live with guinea pigs? I'm just curious....animals with the same kind of environment? Such as Rabbits, big hamsters...etc?

Well, I know for a fact that rabbits are a big NO NO, but I'm not too sure about hamsters, but I'd probably think not.

i was just wondering cuz i have a bunch of hamsters and some of them are really sweet and cuddly so i would think that would be almost the same thing as a baby guinea pig u know? lol i could be wrong....just was wondering...thanks!

That is quite an interesting question, but I really don't know the answer. But, in my opinion, I would say not to just to be on the safe side.

Hamsters are solitary animals, and usually do not like being housed together with another of its own kind (it will tolerate one mate and its young for a while, and *may* learn to accept them). So, I would not house them together. The guinea pig could seriously hurt a hamster, also because of its size. I wouldn't risk it. =)

I do not think hamsters are suitable staying with GP as hamsters do not need vitamin C foods like GP, therefore foods they eat are different.

k...thanks everyone!
