Another Piggie

Well,,I've been asking around to adopt a another piggie. It just so happens a friend of a friend has 2 cavies..(she thought they both where her's...guess not,,someone gave them to her), Her one had babies and she didnt know what to do with them,,so,,I took a boar..he's 6 weeks. He is the most adorable,friendly,little thing. He is a deep red..so I named him Rusty. (I dont think my pap would be too pleased,,that is what everyone called him). He's not jumpy or anything like Charlie was when I got him,,and still is a bit.

My question is..he is in quaritine SP? right now..how do I interduce him and Charlie when the 2 weeks is up? Charlie is going on 5 months. I am crossing my fingers that they get along. I tried to find and old thread about it,,But I couldnt find it. Sorry about the rambling..HE is just sooooo cute. And I want them both to be good buddies. Thanks. Also my cage is pretty good size,and 2 levels, so they both will have their own space.

I hope so too! Just remember that sometimes it takes some time. I recently introduced my two boars and they didn't get along, so I partitioned there cage. Everytime they saw each other they would rumblestrut, but now they sleep next to each other, by the partition. I'm planning on giving them a buddy bath soon, and they may also not be getting along simply because one of them is going through puberty right now. it may take some time, but remember, don't give up! I've also seen alot of people say that there boars simply 'clicked' and got along from the start! Make sure to keep us in tune though, I want to see how it went!

Quarantine should be at the LEAST 3 weeks as cavies can hide any illness for that long.
