Hello all,
My name is Ly and I am a member of GL and I come here as well to read the boards and have found alot of useful information here as well as at GL.
I have two sows, Chatty (Chatterbox Harlequin) and CoCo (CoCo Heifer). Chatty is about 2-3 months old and I got her on October 30th. CoCo is about 6-7 months old and I got her on November 24th. CoCo is still in quarantine.
They both bring so much joy into my life. I love them dearly and spoil them rotten. I am in the process of building them a C&C cage, I have the coroplast but haven't gotten the cubes yet as I have to get to a bigger town to get them. My local Wal-Mart doesn't carry them (its a tiny walmart). I am going to Little Rock, two hours away, on December 16th so I will check Target for cubes and hopefully they will have them. I am thinking about a 2x4 with a 2x2 loft for them.
I look forward to meeting all you cavy slaves here.
And if your wondering, neither were purchased from pet stores. I got Chatty at a festival here in town (I know, probably as bad as getting a cavy from a pet store, but that was before I knew there were rescues) and I got CoCo from an ad in the local paper and when I went to see her she was kept in such horrid conditions I had to bring her home and give her lots of room and lots of love. I am still looking for another sow to adopt as well. I think rabbitsncavyluv posted about me in the adoption forum here.
