Another Guinea Pig?

I have a male peruvian. I was thinking about getting another cavy to keep mo (my cavy) company. I have an 8 foot square cage, but i am planning on investing in a bigger cage. But for now is it large enough so they will not be territorial and fight all the time.

U can provide extra hidely house for each of them so that they have some place to hide if they fight.

I have the same predicament

That's my situation as well. My cage is about 8.9 square feet and the recommended size is 10.5. Expansion is just not going to happen at this point but what I did do was add a couple of lofts to the cage for some additional real estate. If I count the square footage in the lofts I end up with 10.9 square feet. I hope that counts. In the end, I figured my pigs would be better off in a slightly small cage than alone.

Any feedback from the more experienced?
