Well, as most of you know, I purchased my little man from a pet store...he was really young when I did so, but fortunately, I think I got a really good one. He's a real sweetie, sits still in my lap while I pet him and make all kinds of noises.
I am currenly in the process of building a C&C cage (I'll post pics up completion) and once I get a nice roomy cage for him, I want to get him a cage mate. I work full time and I feel that he needs another one there with him while I'm away during the day so he won't be lonesome.
I know buying from stores are bad, but there are no local rescues and none of the shelters here have any guinea pigs. There is one at the pet store that I was looking at when I decided upon Lucifer. It's another very young male, white albino abby.
It's been over a week and I went to the store yesterday to get some more bedding and the poor guy was still there. Either way, I feel I'd be saving a pig from a potention snake owner or bad environment. Plus, they lived together for a little while there, so they might would recognize each other. And with both of them being so young, it may be perfect for a bonding pair.
What do you think?
