So I looked over some of the food charts and I think I may be feeding my piggy too much veggies! But I can't figure out how exactly to know. So can someone give me a lesson (in normal English, not all those numbers of Calcium and Vitamin C and all that)? I feed him cilantro (he loves it), romaine, baby carrotts, tomatoes, green peppers (gonna stop feeding him this though, doesn't seem to like it). He's a picky little fella, doesn't like celery or spinich much, he used to love spinich but hasn't been eating it lately. Sooo...any help please? THANKS!

As long as he eats it I dont think there is any such thing as too much veggies.

It's great you feed him lots of veggies!!! More than enough is better than not enough. Keep up the good work! =)

i've read that celery can be fatal, due to the stringy pieces that it comes apart in. i'm not sure if i'm correct, but i'm sure i read that somewhere on this site or guinealynx. worth checking out, eh?

I've read that you can give them celery but to cut it up crosswise into small pieces. This reduces the length of the stringy pieces so that they don't cause problems.

You can get a vitamin list at Guinea lynx. Its really cool. They have the site address on the Cavy cages home page.
