i just got my piggies almost 2 weeks ago and have been feeding them timothy hay. i got my first order of oxbow alfalfa hay in today... so i opened the bag and put it in my storage bin and then filled up my piggies hay rack. within minutes i started having an allergic reaction. (eyes & lungs) i don't understand why i would be allergic to alfalfa hay when the timothy doesn't bother me at all, but that must be what's going on. is anyone else allergic to one type but not the other?

My question is why you're feeding them alfalfa hay anyway? Timothy hay is preferred for all ages of pigs. Young pigs and pregnant or nursing sows can get alfalfa pellets to satisfy their calcium needs, but don't need alfalfa hay.
