Getting Along Advice about male piggies

Hello! How long can male guinea pigs be apart without forgetting each other? I recently have bonded them about two weeks ago, and wanted to know how long they can be a part of each other without forgetting each other (asking because I am having an issue with one of my piggies that will need that attention a couple hours a day)
