Adopting a Pregnant Piggie?

I have found two piggies at a shelter *at last*! One is a young [NON neutered] boar (rescued from being snake food) and the other is a possibly pregnant female (don't know the history or if they are connected). I called and neutering is a little over $60 at my vets (the only cavy vet in the area). I am thinking about adopting the female if they will let me. Which do yall think would be the best one?

Can't you get both, get the male neutered? You are lucky, a vet near me is charging $100.00 for neutering!

I envy you l2t!!! I wish I lived in Oregon! That's as much money as I spend to make a cage, almost.. which isn't expensive at all! Grr, I want a cheap vet too!...

How many babies (pups?) do most piggies have? I would love to get both but...logistics. Remember I'm a college student living in a dorm room.

I have had an accidental from missex not too long ago. Pregnant piggies came be complicating to care for, but if you are ready for it, take her in. If you want to email me, pm me I will give you pictures and of course, my email adress.

I have pics of my last litter. Ill try to send them to you. Also in the pics I have in the gallery, Honey( the tri colored one) is pregnant. You cnt really tell with all of her hair though. She was pregnant by the time I found this site and relised how much danger I had put her in. Luckily everyone was fine and now my boys are nuetered.

Nevermind, the shelter wont adopt out preggies because they don't want her traveling.
