Hi everyone!

My boyfriend and I are considering adopting a male piggie for my other male. Bongo is about 6 months old. Should I adopt a younger male? About the same age? Do you think there will be territorial issues? We just assembled his 2X4 C&C cage last night and he absolutely loved it. We are working on a second floor and ramp now. There are plenty of hidey holes. Any help would be great!

Thanks!

I think you'd need an older one or a baby. I think an older one would be better because yours is an adolescent. You don't want to deal with two boys hitting puberty.

Can you make your cage bigger? And add a loft? That will help. You have to rearrange the cage when adding a new piggie to cut down on territory issues.

Thanks for your help! We appreciate it!

Bongo, as long as you don't have any girls in the cage, things will be alright. I have two boys in one cage and they sit together. Just introduce them and get them used to each other.

No problem, Bongo! That's what we're here for. ;) Hope it all goes smoothly!
